History
The story of The Loods begins in 2014. A number of painters came together due to a commission from the municipality of Roosendaal to paint a large number of concrete blocks. Because it was winter and too cold to work outside, an indoor location was given on request to carry out the assignment: the former building of Wubben Olie.
The empty walls were very inviting and after approval from the municipality, the building could be used as a legal graffiti site for a few months. That quickly led to the first Graffiti Jam, where about 30 artists came to paint.
Meanwhile, there have been countless Graffiti Jams, in recent years with over 200 painters participating. Other people also know how to find The Loods: for workshops, for photo shoots, for creative assignments, for studio space … but above all for fun! There is an open evening every Wednesday evening. To come paint, but also to catch up with a cup of coffee, listen to nice music and to meet new people. Be welcome!
